Joni Esser-Stuart is originally from Wisconsin but has lived in the South for more than 25 years. She has taught graduate and undergraduate social work courses at Kansas State University, the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Alabama. She loved working with students and enjoyed teaching and working on her research projects. She was also involved in community service and arts organizations. She often used her grant writing skills to benefit and enrich the community.
