WATCH HILL, RHODE ISLAND – Five-Time James Beard Award-Winning Chef, Michael Solomonov was the guest chef to kick off the summer event series “Mediterranean Night Markets” at the Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond Ocean House. The kickoff event at Théa at Dune Cottage overlooking the white sand beach began in June with guests enjoying a lavish spread of Mediterranean-inspired selections. This fun and elegant evening was set to capture the flavorful cuisine of the Mediterranean coast.
Chef Solomonov is the chef co-owner of CookNSolo Restaurants, the trailblazing Philadelphia hospitality group. Included among the esteemed collection is Zahav, which twice earned the Philadelphia Inquirer’s highest honor, the coveted Four Bells Superior rating. Solomonov is also the co-author of three cookbooks and is also the co-owner of Federal Donuts, Dizengoff, Goldie, K’Far, and Laser Wolf.
The dinner experience captured the flavorful cuisine and vibrant atmosphere of the Mediterranean coast, showcasing traditional favorites as well as inventive selections. Following the June event with Chef Solomonov, Ocean House’s buffet-style Mediterranean Night Markets will continue every Wednesday from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. through August 28 during the summer season. The menu will include a variety of Mediterranean-themed offerings, including Israeli salads, shawarma and grilled skewers, rotisserie-style lamb, and grilled eggplant, as well as selection of desserts.
